Rickie Recardo Sumler is an enthusiastic Hampton Roads Photographer who enjoys capturing the best Memorable Moments for his clients, as he believes “Image is Everything!” Being a native of Hampton VA., he has always admired the beautiful Hampton Roads scenery and how the lovely locations offer the perfect photography shoots for residents and visitors alike. Early on, Rickie’s eye for details became extremely important in his endeavors with previous projects, inspiring him to purchase his very first camera. Afterwards, he instantly became hooked and realized the need for a more advanced featured camera and his passion for photography instantly became an epic journey. His expertise has been requested by local chefs, models and families looking for something unique. His passion to bring forth top notch satisfaction during photo sessions is impeccable, to say the least. Wanting to give back to his community in the Hampton Roads area, he started his own Breast Cancer Survivors pro bono photo sessions in October 2020. It became a huge success, so he decided to continue his campaign beyond the month of October on a weekly basis. The inspiration to do this campaign derived from his mother’s passing from ovarian cancer. Rickie Recardo Photography wants to establish a positive footprint with all his clients and build long lasting relationships for generations to come.
In his down time, he is a creative writer of short stories and poetry, which he takes great pleasure in sharing his original pieces with family and friends. In addition, Rickie believes investing in our youth is paramount and volunteers his time at community events whenever possible.
